Paging Ms. Woldt

Although our Left keeps trying to show the bigotry of deep Red areas of the country against Moslems, perhaps they should try their experiment a little closer to home (tip to The Corner) in the big Blue state of New York:

Orchard Park police are investigating a particularly gruesome killing, the beheading of a woman, after her husband — an influential member of the local Muslim community — reported her death to police Thursday.

Police identified the victim as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. Detectives have charged her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, 44, with second-degree murder. ...

Muzzammil Hassan is the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004, amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.

A beheading in America by a Moslem man. Yep, that whole war on terror thing is so over. I understand that murdering a spouse is not, sadly, unknown in non-Moslem families. But beheading speaks of a religious-based justification that gets any other wife murderer no consideration at all before they are shipped off to prison or exectuted when found guilty.

The war isn't over until influential members of local Moslem communities don't consider the filing for divorce by their wives a capital offense.

I sure hope our president does a better job of bridging that gap between America and the Moslem world as he famously asserted than Mr. Hassan.
