We Are a Tolerant Bunch, Aren't We?

The Iranians have been waging war on us in Iraq and yet we have seemed determined to play it down.

Our military has given some details about the Iranians we hold after the Irbil raid:

The statement provided the first details from the military on the five people detained by U.S.-led forces Thursday in a raid on what the Iraqis and Tehran said was an Iranian liaison office in Irbil, a city in Kurdish-controlled northern Iraq about 220 miles north of Baghdad.

The military said the Qods Force faction of the Revolutionary Guard, the military pillar of Iran's Islamic Revolution, is "known for providing funds, weapons, improvised explosive device technology and training to extremist groups attempting to destabilize the Government of Iraq and attack Coalition forces."

Will anybody feel just a little outrage that the Iranians are responsible for Americans being killed every day? That the Iranians are fueling sectarian killing in Iraq? That this group wants nukes?

No outrage? None at all? No worries about what they might do? Just a little? No?

Oh yeah, true media outrage is reserved for perfectly legal programs conducted by the Bush administration to protect us.

But hey, consider this "outrage' by the Iranians. The Iranians are attempting to destabilize Iraq before they solve the Palestinian problem! Now that should get the attention of the NYT editorial board.
