A Dim Star in the Firmament

President Jimmy Carter is a disgrace and embarassment to America, as far as I'm concerned.

Victor Hanson writes of this man:

In his dotage, Carter is proving once again that he is as malicious and mean-spirited a public figure as he is historically ignorant. And for all his sanctimonious Christian veneer, and fly-fishing, ‘aw shucks blue-jeans image, he can’t hide an essentially ungracious and unkind soul.

Still, our Navy has made sure that nobody can ever say that Jimmy Carter does not defend our nation.

I'm reasonably sure the Navy named a submarine after President Carter to avoid the shame of having to name an aircraft carrier after him.
