The United States accused China on Friday of putting well more than a million minority Muslims in "concentration camps," in some of the strongest U.S. condemnation to date of what it calls Beijing's mass detention of mostly Muslim Uighur minority and other Muslim groups.
Unless you want to spin them as "fun camps" what else do you call them?
And remember, while we generally see "concentration camp" as a synonym for Nazi "death camps," that is technically not the case.
Concentrations camps concentrate people in one place for better control. That is what China is doing.
Although torture and brainwashing are part of the reason for concentrating those people in Xinjiang province.
And that's on top of the ethnic cleansing as China moves Han Chinese colonists into the region to swamp the locals by numbers.
The global left-wing outrage machine that so easily gets turned to "11" for any minor American mistake or even an erroneous allegation is strangely silent over this.
