Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has ordered the creation of a body to prepare a lawsuit against Russia for damages caused by separatists whom Moscow supports in the Donbas region and for its illegal annexation of the Crimea Peninsula.
Early on in the war, I figured Ukraine should send in the lawyers by charging Russia rent for their illegal occupation of Ukrainian territory. That had to be a part of a strategy that puts Russia's gleaming Battlestar Crimea at risk, but sending in the lawyers should be an asymmetric form of warfare on Russia.
