So. Much. Bullshit

The Iran deal is horrible and the United States should walk away from it, notwithstanding the provisions that front-loaded benefits to Iran.

Resist this pressure:

President Donald Trump finds himself under immense pressure as he considers de-certifying the international nuclear deal with Iran, a move that would ignore warnings from inside and outside his administration that to do so would risk undermining U.S. credibility.

Signing such a horrible deal undermined our credibility. If the Obama administration wanted to put America's credibility in play he should have treated it like the treaty it is and submitted it to the Senate for ratification.

That process would have made it a commitment of the United States of America rather than being a vanity project of Secretary of State Kerry who dishonestly defends the deal and probably still thinks he should have gotten a Nobel Peace Prize out of that dreck.

Instead of the treaty process, we got a deal that according to the State Department is not even "legally binding!"

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document[.]

How is stubbornly sticking to a horrible deal when we clearly don't have to bolster our credibility?!

Also, claims that Iran is complying with the deal are inaccurate. All we can say is that the IAEA hasn't been able to see any provable signs of violations in the few locations it can actually inspect under the deal, with Russia backing Iran's refusal to allow wider inspections. You must admit that is different.

Kill the deal and face reality--including the reality that we gave Iran a lot of benefits for no real gain.

SIDEBAR: I find this part of the initial linked article hilarious in a nuclear suicide sort of way:

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) concluded that Iran secretly researched a nuclear warhead until 2009, which Tehran denies.

I'm so old that I remember when the media told us in 2007 that the CIA concluded that the Iranians had ended their nuclear weapons drive in 2003 and had no evidence it was restarted.

Never mind. Now Iran stopped it for sure in 2009.

So excuse me if I don't buy the nonsense that because we have not found evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons programs in the areas Iran allows the IAEA to inspect that Iran doesn't pursue nuclear weapons under cover of that horrible deal.

UPDATE: I believe President Trump erred in only decertifying Iranian compliance with the Iran deal.

The deal is bad. Walk away. Let our allies prop up that rogue state without our help.

Although with the pressure he announced on Iran to contain and stop their aggressive actions, Iran might just withdraw and save us the trouble.

UPDATE: The president made a good first step, at least. Iran has been at war with America for some time, don't forget.
