Can Taiwan Flip China?

China is far larger than Taiwan, and if China can isolate Taiwan from American intervention and if China is willing to endure the casualties to throw an invasion force across the strait, China could capture Taiwan.

Taiwan is lucky not to have a land border with China, but China is so much larger that China could pull off an invasion of Taiwan.

If Taiwan can't match the Chinese military that increases its capabilities, could Taiwan defend its young democracy by ending the China threat at its source?

Taiwan's president, Tsai Ing-wen, said the biggest gap between Taiwan and China is democracy and freedom, needling Beijing at a time when relations between China and the self-ruled island are at their nadir.

She said Taiwan was willing to share its experiences of transitioning to democracy in the late 1980s to ease the pains of such a transition for the mainland.

I've wondered for a while if the only way Taiwan can defend itself is to destroy the communist government that holds conquest of Taiwan as an objective to legitimize communist rule.

When all other options fade away, sometimes the only option left is the one you have. Could Taiwan topple the Peking government (and avoid a non-communist nationalist government even more committed to conquest)?
