China's Wall Map Series of National Territory is Never Final

Stratfor has a good piece on the Trump-Tsai phone call kerfuffle, but I do have to take exception to this comment:

China has already reabsorbed Macao and Hong Kong, leaving Taiwan the only holdout, unique for its history as a stronghold for the defeated Kuomintang army rather than as a colonial holding of a foreign power. The last remnant of the Chinese civil war, Taiwan's annexation by China would mark an unequivocal and final victory for the Communist Party. [emphasis added]

"Unequivocal and final" victory? I don't think so.

No, if China gets Taiwan, there are still those islands in the South and East China Seas.

And parts of the Korean peninsula.

And parts of India and Russia--2021 is getting closer!

And anything, really, that China decides to put on their latest edition of their official map of lost territories that China wants back.

The Chinese will dredge up any old claim that they can find to claim new land, in addition to dredging up sand at sea to create new land.
