Striking the Hand Puppets

We ignored the Iranians standing behind them to strike the Yemen faction that shot at our ships in the Red Sea.

After deflecting a couple attempts to sink our warships, we struck back at Houthi-controlled radar sites in Yemen:

Early this morning local time, the U.S. military struck three radar sites in Houthi-controlled territory on Yemen's Red Sea coast. Initial assessments show the sites were destroyed. The strikes -- authorized by President Obama at the recommendation of Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Joseph Dunford -- targeted radar sites involved in the recent missile launches threatening USS Mason and other vessels operating in international waters in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb.

Meanwhile, the Iranians have become a harder target:

Russia has completed the delivery of S-300 air defense missile systems to Iran, RIA news agency quoted Russia's state arms export agency as saying on Thursday.

Thank goodness we had an outreach to Iran and a reset with Russia. Whatever would we do without Smart Diplomacy?

UPDATE: I hear we used Tomahawk cruise missiles, which our destroyers can launch from their vertical launch system.
