The Reality-Based Community

You recall the weeping and celebrating in that Paris selfie called a global climate accord, right?

If the provisions of the accord are followed, guess what this turning point in history that prompted grown adults to weep will do, according to Bjorn Lomborg:

My own peer-reviewed research, published in the journal Global Policy, shows that all of the treaty’s 2016-2030 promises on cutting carbon-dioxide emissions will reduce temperatures by the year 2100 by just 0.05°C. Even if the promised emissions cuts continued unabated throughout the century, the Paris agreement would cut global temperature increases by just 0.17°C. Scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology reach a similar conclusion.

And that’s assuming countries actually live up to their promises: The treaty’s nonbinding.

All hail the victory!

Well, if I was invited to dine in Paris for a couple weeks, I think I'd praise whatever I was there for in between the meals and booze.

Their science is a joke. Their models are a joke. Seriously, this is scholarship?

So of course their solutions are a joke.

And their attitudes of moral and intellectual superiority over those who question their zealotry are the worst jokes of all.
