We're Half Way There!

We're half way to a nuclear deal with Iran!

Iran's Supreme Nutball, Khamenei, denies that Iran even has a nuclear program:

"They created the myth of nuclear weapons so they could say the Islamic Republic is a source of threat. No, the source of threat is America itself, with its unrestrained, destabilizing interventions," Khamenei said in a televised address to a hall of several hundred military commanders.

"The other side is methodically and shamelessly threatening us militarily ... even if they did not make these overt threats, we would have to be prepared," he said.

Wow. You have to be impressed with his commitment to pacifism.

Even though he says the main problem is that we attack other people and that we threaten Iran in particular, Khamenei claims Iran does not have a nuclear program as part of their efforts to be prepared!

Now that's having the courage of your convictions, eh?

But as I've long said, the basis of a nuclear deal between the brain trust of Obama-Kerry (I swear, they give diplomacy a bad name) and the Supreme Nutball and his nutball minions will be that Iran will pretend not to have a nuclear program; and we will pretend to believe them.

So we're half way there!

Kerry? The ball is in your court!

And then we'll be reset partners, and nothing else will matter as long as we got each other. We'll make it! Obama and Kerry swear!

Of course, at that point we'll be livin' on a prayer. Wooh-oh.

Don't hate me. Kerry started this musically themed nonsense, after all.

UPDATE: President Obama says we'll need "creative negotiations." Heaven help us.

UPDATE: The Iranians sent a letter to us:

WE made important progress in Switzerland earlier this month. With the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany, we agreed on parameters to remove any doubt about the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program and to lift international sanctions against Iran.

But to seal the anticipated nuclear deal, more political will is required. The Iranian people have shown their resolve by choosing to engage with dignity. It is time for the United States and its Western allies to make the choice between cooperation and confrontation, between negotiations and grandstanding, and between agreement and coercion.

Ah, progress! Iran has agreed to pretend they don't have a nuclear weapons program. And now we have a choice.

We can either pretend to believe Iran or treat Iran like the enemy they are.

The suspense is killing me.
