Bouncing the Ruble

Russians are starting to pay a price for invading Ukraine:

The shelves at the Perekrostok supermarket near Proletarskaya Metro in central Moscow are piled high with fresh produce. The meat department looks well-stocked, and the usual wide array of dairy products beckons.

But some of the brand names are unfamiliar to regular shoppers here, and a lot of their favored imported goods are nowhere to be found. An even bigger problem? The price tags, which are escalating – dramatically.

Good. Let's keep this up.

May the Russians enjoy the prestige of conquering Crimea and Donbas. Remember, when a dictator like Kim Jong-Un can get fatter even in hunger-wracked North Korea, rest assured your rulers won't suffer the effects of higher prices.
