Coincidence

The trade of 5 Taliban for Sergeant Bergdahl makes the "outing"of the CIA station chief in Afghanistan during President Obama's trip to Afghanistan a little more interesting, doesn't it?

Was this revelation punishment for opposing the trade, as the consensus in our intelligence communities seems to have been?

Or was it simply a reflection of interest by the president's team in talking to the station chief in light of plans to make the trade and then stupidly revealing his status as collateral damage?

Or was the trade even known at the time of the visit to Afghanistan?

Don't know. But it is an interesting coincidence of timing.

UPDATE: Intelligence and military people blocked the release of those 5 Taliban in the past. Tip to Instapundit.

UPDATE: You remember the comparison to the Plame Affair, right? I even brought it up not too long before the station chief outing.
