Message Received

Iran is sending a "destroyer" and "helicopter carrier" to patrol off of America's Atlantic coast. Iran says they are sending us a "message."

Ooh. Scary.

The move to send warships to the Atlantic was announced by the commander of Iran's northern naval fleet on Saturday, who described it as a "message."

The "destroyer" is a small corvette and the helicopter carrier is basically a supply ship that has a helicopter. Ooh. Big scariness.

The message being sent is that the Iranians trust that our Navy will rescue them if they break down en route or if the weather starts getting rough.

So, message received. I hope they enjoy their three-hour tour off our coast.

We should shadow them and continuously broadcast instructions on how to defect to us.

But this is all just a shiny object to distract us while they work to defeat us in Syria and work to defeat us over Iran's nuclear ambitions.

UPDATE: Although if the Iranian supply ship has shipping containers on deck, I'd fly by with radiation detectors while they are well away from our shores. Lack of long-range ballistic missiles is not a complete show-stopper.

Yes, the Iranians are clowns. But they are stone-cold murderous clowns.
