Where the Stuff Might Hit the Fan

Potential conflicts the experts are looking at for the new year.

With the caveat that conflicts can arise where experts aren't looking.

I'd like to note that the potential for a civil war in Iraq is a tier one problem.

We left Iraq at the end of 2011, having "responsibly ended" that war, without busting a gut to keep troops in place to prevent conflict from re-escalating.

But what the heck? Iraq didn't reignite before the 2012 election, so ... mission accomplished!
