Reset and Outreach--Combined

Hey, what do you get when you mix a reset with Russia with an outreach to Iran?

A Russian-Iranian deal to screw us over!

The White House said on Monday it was concerned about a recent report that Iran and Russia are negotiating an oil-for-goods swap worth $1.5 billion a month, a deal a spokeswoman said could trigger U.S. sanctions.

Such a deal would significantly boost Iran's oil exports, which have been slashed by more than half to about 1 million barrels a day by U.S. and European economic sanctions aimed at forcing Iran to accept curbs to its nuclear program.

Russian and Iranian sources close to the barter negotiations said the deal could see Russia buy as much as 500,000 barrels a day of Iranian oil in exchange for Russian equipment and goods.

That's real money. It is even more than we are kicking in with the idiotic interim shovel money to Iran nuclear deal.

Basically, as a Strategypage post put it, Russia is taking Iranian oil, mixing it with their own, exporting it, and daring the world to do anything about it.

But no worries, Kerry said we are "concerned" about this. So we've got that going for us.

And keep in mind that John Kerry thinks he can wrangle a Nobel Peace Prize out of his tenure as Secretary of State rather than having his key to the executive washroom taken away and his parking privileges cancelled.

Kerry clearly couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written in French on the heel.
