Willing Suspension of Disbelief 2.0?

Wow! We can see the light at the end of the Obamacare website tunnel!

HHS is on the job in their response with a "tech surge":

TECH SURGE

To ensure that we make swift progress, and that the consumer experience continues to improve, our team has called in additional help to solve some of the more complex technical issues we are encountering.

Our team is bringing in some of the best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve HealthCare.gov.

A tech "surge"! Remember when Senator Hillary Clinton denied the initial reports of success with the Iraq surge by General Petraeus, when she said accepting his testimony required "a willing suspension of disbelief"?

Now we are to believe that a surge of tech support on top of the massive amount of money already spent on a decade-old state of the art programming will make this work.

But let's go back farther. In what world would a department claim that it will solve the problems of the politically connected low-bidders with the efforts of the "best and brightest" to fix HealthCare.gov?

The "best and brightest" is the ironic description that David Halberstam gave to the President Kennedy "whiz kids" who engineered our initial strategy trajectory in South Vietnam.

So when do we hear of the glorious successes that this H-Team achieves in their "search and destroy" missions in pursuit of the Godless "glitches" that infest HealthCare.gov?
