Forward!

The media jumped all over a few people who signed up for Obamacare. One poster boy turned out to be an Obama activist--and didn't sign up for the coverage, as it turns out.

Add another story to the fake but accurate annals (tip to Instapundit)--Chad Henderson:

Henderson’s story was particularly attractive. He was precisely what the media, and the White House, needed: a young, ostensibly healthy individual willing to pay a substantial portion of the meager income into the system so that it can support older, more chronically ill patients who will be partaking in health care services regularly.

In the media’s rush to make a star out of Henderson, they failed to vet him thoroughly. Most of the press missed the fact that Henderson is a current political activist and Organizing for America volunteer. Somewhat more egregiously, they also missed the fact that Henderson’s story was not true.

What's really funny is that even an acolyte such as Chad didn't really believe the Obamacare rollout and reception would be a success. After all, why fake it if he thought the whole scheme would make it?

Oh, and add as a reason to touch on this issue the unreliability of a left-wing press that consistently got the Iraq War wrong because of their bias and lack of subject matter expertise.

UPDATE: A quick afterthought. Chad Henderson actually demonstrates how young Obama worshippers can solve the conflict of wanting to support their savior but not wanting to pay a lot of money for very little of value to young, healthy people--just claim you signed up for Obamacare!

Who will know otherwise? The deductibles are so high that you can still shell out money with nobody being the wiser. And all this information will be kept confidential by the government, right? Who will know?

It's like hope and change all wrapped up in one package!
