Iran has come up with the obvious alternative to intrusive inspections to verify they are not pursuing nuclear weapons.

Pity we didn't think of this years ago:

A news agency says Iran plans to submit a written promise to the United Nations that it will not seek nuclear weapons.

Well, then, never mind. I feel so silly for worrying.
