Against a Signal of Weakness?

I find it absurd that Chuck Hagel's supporters have the nerve to argue that it sends a signal of weakness to delay the confirmation of Hagel to be Secretary of Defense, when confirming him is exactly that signal.

But hey, I count it as progress when the administration's backers come out against an image of weakness. Baby steps, people. Baby steps.
