Mission Accomplished

Thank goodness that tide of war is receding in CENTCOM!

Pakistan's Taliban, one of the world's most feared militant groups, are preparing for a leadership change that could mean less violence against the state but more attacks against U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, Pakistani military sources said.

Huh. Did anyone let them know that Osama bin Laden is dead? (We could leave out the "GM is alive" part, since that isn't highly relevant to the Pakistani Taliban.)

Still, the tide of war is receding in Pakistan, at least. Congratulations and Christmas bonuses all around at the ISI!

We're tired of war but our enemies aren't tired. This just can't be in the plan, eh?

Oh well. We can still pretend the war is over. For a while, anyway. That goes for Pakistan, too.
