Pussy Riot

Putin's Russia still maintains a fig leaf of rule of law. But dissent will be easier to crush with this new law:

A new law expanding Russia's definition of treason took effect Wednesday — and critics say it's so vague that the government can now brand anyone who dissents as a traitor.

That's hilarious. How timid of Putin.

Putin's loyalist judges still have to convict someone in a pretend court by believing that any criticism of him is proof of treason rather than just having dissent itself justify stripping people of their citizenship and deported.
