War on Women

There is a real war on women going on.

But Republicans have nothing to do with it:

A teenaged girl received 60 lashes in Timbuktu after Islamist extremists convicted her of speaking to men on the street.

But perhaps it was just a demonstration against 15-year-old girls talking to men that got out of hand. Sadly, the men happened to have whips. Bad luck, that.

Let's check with Candy Crowley in a couple weeks for a reality check.

UPDATE: Huh:

Taliban insurgents said on Tuesday that the Pakistani schoolgirl its gunmen shot in the head deserved to die because she had spoken out against the group and praised U.S. President Barack Obama.

Yet, it is a "war on women" here to suggest affluent law students should pay for their own birth control.

Really, it's OK for our left to hate the Taliban (and really, all jihadis). After all, they seem immune to Cairo outreach platitudes and seem to hate President Obama as much as they hated President George W. Bush:

We targeted her because she would speak against the Taliban while sitting with shameless strangers and idealized the biggest enemy of Islam, Barack Obama.

I mean, how demented is that?
