Speak Loudly and Have a Big Stick on Standby

The Obama doctrine--if one can inflate their freshman college thinking about foreign policy into a "doctrine"--is clearly one of pushing allies to do more while making inflated claims for what little we do.

Alone, it is fine to expect allies to do more in our common defense.

But it is an error to believe that our allies will fight and die for American interests rather than their own when we are unwilling to fight and die for our national interests.
