Stopping the Rising Seas

I know that our president pledged to halt the rising seas, but this promise seems more relevant to foreign policy. Once, foreign policy stopped at the water's edge as we went overseas to deal with the rest of the world as Americans.

Now, domestic policy for this administration uses our foreign policy in the entire world to pull in political talking points for their own partisan needs--and sorry about that collateral damage.

I'm not sure where the hope is, but this is surely a change.
