Elective Surgery

This would be funny if it didn't involve thousands of dead:

Syrian President Bashar Assad defended his government's crackdown on opponents Sunday, saying a doctor performing messy emergency surgery does not have blood on his hands if he is trying to save a patient.

Yeah, he's administering a lot of lead injections to kill all those malignant Sunnis who are infecting his body politic.

If John Edwards is available now, perhaps he could sue the good doctor Assad for medical malpractice.
