Do I Even Have to Ask What if Bush Did This?

We will find you and we will kill you, and we don't need no stinkin' arrest warrant:

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has defended the targeted killing of U.S. nationals living outside the United States who have taken up arms against the United States. ...

Holder added, "when such individuals take up arms against this country and join Al-Qaeda in plotting attacks designed to kill their fellow Americans, there may be only one realistic and appropriate response."

Mind you, I don't have a problem with this. I don't know why American citizens who decide to join an enemy to wage war on us to destroy America should simultaneously get the benefits of being a citizen. I mean, really, if they get injured in a training camp should they qualify for disability payments? Or Obamacare?

But then I'm old-fashioned and think politics should stop at the water's edge. We're at war and rather than switching my position on what is proper, I am grateful whenever this administration is willing to defend our country.

But what's the excuse of our liberal supporters of President Obama? Wouldn't this be "shredding the Constitution" if done between 2001 and 2008? Mind you, they also think that people who have actually read the Constitution are a strange breed, but obviously consistency isn't the most important quality they cherish.

There are a few liberal voices that hammer President Obama for anti-terrorism policies continued from the Bush administration. They are wrong but at least they are still judging by the same standards. Why are all the outraged BDS-afflicted people who once raged at Bush in print, TV, and in social settings so willing to stay quiet now even if they know they once opposed such measures and are uncomfortable that The One is doing the same thing?

We are at war. It doesn't matter if we are tired of waging it. If our enemies aren't tired, the war will go on.
