Holier Than Thou

On at least one score, you have to admire the honesty of the Iranians, as Khamenei explains Iran's opposition to the bid by the Palestinians to get the UN to recognize Palestine even without an Israeli-Palestinian agreement:

"Any plan that seeks to divide Palestine is totally rejected," Khamenei told a conference on the Palestinian issue.

"The two-state scheme, which has been clad in the self-righteousness of the acceptance of the Palestinian government and membership at the United Nations, is nothing but a capitulation to the demands of the Zionists or the recognition of the Zionist regime on Palestinian land," he declared.

The Palestinians are at least willing to tell gullible Westerners that they accept Israel while telling their own people it is just an interim step to destroying Israel. Iran refuses to pretend that destroying Israel isn't the ultimate goal.
