Once More Unto the Breach

I've noted that the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks seemed to be an opportunity for the Left to continue the debate-that-will-not-end over whether we should overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime.

Jim Lacey has a good piece on Saddam's pursuit of WMD and support for terrorism that should end the notion that we went to war on lies or a mistake.

It is good that Saddam is gone. Iraq is better. The region is better. And I stand by my reasons given before the war here and here.

UPDATE: If we've screwed up the fight against jihadis (including the tough fight inside Iraq) since 9/11, let us have more screw ups:

We are at war. You can point to mistakes. War is a whole bunch of mistakes, and we've done far better than just making fewer than our enemies.
