The Lack of Nuance is Disturbing

Can you imagine what our Left would say if our president was greeted this way?

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister David Cameron, whose air forces helped end Gaddafi's 42-year rule, flew in to Tripoli to be told their support may be repaid in business contracts with the oil-rich North African state. [emphasis added]

No blood for oil, anyone? Come on, chant it! Get worked up!

Nah. It's the French. They're sophisticated and worldly. The speak French like they're native speakers, for Pete's sake.

The Libya War was supposed to reflect the new global community value of responsibility to protect, but it turned out to be an old-fashioned war for national interests.

Oh, and on the ground, alliance (formerly "rebels") forces are fighting at Sirte where loyalists still hold out on the coast.
