Personal Tragedy Strikes

There comes a time when you have to admit you are getting old.

After taking Lamb to her mom's house this evening, I went to Kroger to return a vast store of 2-liter plastic bottles and while there I picked up some beer and snacks.

When I got home and popped the trunk, I discovered that a can of beer had rolled and had punctured on something. So beer sprayed all over the trunk.

There was a day--when I was certifiably young--when such a catastrophe would have been recognized for the tragedy it was: beer abuse.

But my first thought was that my trunk would now smell like beer no matter what I did to sop up the beer. And my second thought was that this could make going through border Customs a little more interesting.

The loss of beer didn't even register. When the Hell did that happen?

UPDATE: I fixed the title. Good grief, even in tragedy I can't stray far from my usual blogging patterns ...
