Ajdabiya Back on Radar

News from Ajdabiya has been scarce the last several days. The last I read, loyalists had infiltrated into the city and NATO planes had struck loyalist armor around the city.

So I looked, and found an article from yesterday saying the rebels are 25 miles west of Ajdabiya:

Libyan rebels took position 40 km (25 miles) west of the strategic town of Ajdabiyah on Tuesday after clashes with Muammar Gaddafi's forces that left at least three dead, rebel fighters said.

That's a good sign of the rebels stiffening and maybe why Khaddafi is putting out feelers for a ceasefire.

But really, how could I have missed a story about the loyalists retreating from or being driven from Ajdabiya? That's a big deal, after all.
