Set a Course for Adventure

Iran has requested permission to transit their frigate and supply ship through the Suez Canal. There is no reason legally that they cannot do this:

Two Iranian naval vessels have submitted a request to transit the Suez Canal, Egypt's Foreign Ministry said Thursday. Israel has expressed concerns over the plans, labeling them a "provocation."

Israel has reason to worry but they have no legal grounds to complain. Not that the frigate could really harm Israel (assuming it is conventionally armed) before going to the bottom of the sea.

I'd worry more that the ship might escort another Turkish-origin fauxtilla pretending to bring humanitarian supplies to Gaza in an effort to challenge the effective blockade on Hamas.

Whatever the frigate will do, it isn't the Love Boat.
