The Sound of Sanity

The soccer lords won't ban that annoying buzzing horn that has been like a mosquito flitting about one's ear for the duration of a game:

World Cup organisers Monday ruled out a ban on the vuvuzela horns that have been driving some players and broadcasters mad, with FIFA president Sepp Blatter defending the instrument on Twitter.

Keep the vuvuzelas blaring. May it leave a lasting impression on American viewers and network exectutives.

Soccer is boring enough without encouraging it in the United States. The annoyance of watching the rare World Cup event with that din is well worth the price to save us from that ridiculous game. We've got real football here, already.

Sound the vuvuzelas!
