The Horror

This is just awful:

Around 50 ships, including large ferries carrying thousands, were stuck in the ice in the Baltic Sea Thursday and many were not likely to be freed for hours, Swedish maritime authorities said.

And this isn't a cheap shot on global warming, with perhaps a polar bear angle. Read this horrifying news:

Sweden's TT news agency first reported that the two largest ferries, the Isabella and the Amorella, were in total carrying 2,630 passengers, but later revised the number to 1,841.

What happened to 789 passengers? "Revised" is such a cold term to describe the loss of that many people.

Clearly, stranded passengers have resorted to cannibalism on a massive scale to survive!
