No Good Deed Goes Unpunished?

The Honduran military was put in a difficult position when the Honduran Congress and Supreme Court asked the miltiary to remove Zelaya for violating the Honduran constitution yet had not legal procedures to remove Zelaya.

Apparently, Zelaya retains enough support to attempt to strike back:

Honduran prosecutors issued arrest warrants for the country's six top military commanders for abuse of power in connection with the coup that ousted President Jose Manuel Zelaya last year.

The Surpreme Court, which approved the removal of Zelaya, has to approve the arrest warrants. I imagine that won't happen.

But who knows what our State Department is doing, despite their apparent lapse back into sanity by essentially supporting the interim Honduran government that held new elections back in November.
