Not Dead Yet

Protesters in Iran are out in the streets again.

Again, if these protests widen fissures within the ruling elites, we might yet be spared from a host of problems caused by Iran's mullahs.

Can you imagine if Iran was governed by a friendly government?

The end of Iranian support for the Taliban.

An open supply line to Afghansitan through Iran.

No more leverage for Pakistan or Russia or questionable Central Asian states for our supply lines to Afghanistan.

No more Iranian and Syrian support for terrorists in Iraq.

No more Iranian support for Hamas.

No more Iranian and Syrian support for Hezbollah.

No more Iranian support for Hugo Chavez.

A reduction in terrorism worldwide.

No more threats of nuclear proliferation and arms races in the Gulf region.

And of course, possibly ending brutal oppression within Iran.

But instead, we'd rather talk to the ruling thugs in a vain attempt to get them to give up nuclear weapons.

Not a word from our president to support those Iranians bravely marching against thugs they know have killed and brutally raped opponents of the regime.
