From the Quiet Front

I wonder who we grabbed?

Foreign troops in helicopters strafed a car Monday in a Somali town controlled by Islamist insurgents, killing two men and capturing two others who were wounded, witnesses said. U.S. military officials said U.S. forces were involved in the raid.

The commando-style action took place in a village near Barawe amid growing fears that al-Qaida is gaining a foothold in this lawless nation.

Just a reminder that the war against jihadis is more than just Afghanistan.

UPDATE: Ah, we killed a big shot:

A U.S. raid killed one of Africa's most wanted al-Qaida suspects sought in connection with a deadly hotel bombing, and Somalia's powerful insurgent group vowed Tuesday to avenge the American attack.

Al-Spongebob minions vowed ululating bloody revenge, of course:

Two senior members of al-Shabab, who asked that their names not be used because they are not authorized to speak publicly, said their fighters will retaliate for the raid that killed Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan on Monday.

"They will taste the bitterness of our response," one of the commanders told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.

So al-Shishkabob vows to continue to do what jihadis all over do--kill innocents in horrific manners.

Although since we nabbed two of the elite flunkies, I bet they talk and it will be al-Shabob that will taste the bitterness of our special forces.
