Economic Warfare

We're worried about economic warfare:

The Pentagon sponsored a first-of-its-kind war game last month focused not on bullets and bombs — but on how hostile nations might seek to cripple the U.S. economy, a scenario made all the more real by the global financial crisis.

The article says the games were planned before last September's financial crisis, so if true, the gam isn't in response to this odd speculation.

And note that China won the games as we and the Russians duked it out. And that the claim that China wouldn't dare dump their dollar holdings for fear of harming themselves isn't quite accurate.

I hope the Pentagon does this game next year and projects our national deficit and debt out a few years to see how we manage an economic war then.
