The Moslem Awakening

I've long argued that to drain the swamp of support for jihadi terrorism, we must be flexible enough to destroy jihad-supporting regimes or flip them, as we can.

We flipped Libya:

President George W. Bush called Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to express satisfaction that the compensation agreement for victims of terrorism had been fully implemented, the White House said on Monday.

It was the first time the two leaders had spoken and was a sign of the warming ties between their countries that began after Libya gave up its weapons of mass destruction program in 2003.

Remember, we aren't trying to enforce justice on a global scale. We are trying to prevent a nuclear 9/11 and erode the conditions in the Moslem world that provide jihadis with fertile recruiting grounds. By showing, contrary to the cartoonish version of "you're either with us or against us" diplomacy the last 7 years, that we will work with anyone who converts from past evil ways, we remove the fear of enemies that they must win or fight to the death. Indeed, our jihadis enemies are the ones guilty of this charge.

We flipped the Anbari Sunni Arabs to begin the final drive to victory in Iraq against the minority of Iraqi Sunnis who will never renounce jihad. Will flipping Libya allow us to rally Arab world support to kill the fanatics in the Arab Moslem world who will never give up jihad?
