Vegas Rules

Our new embassy in Peking is huge. It is the second largest after Iraq.

This part stands out:

The eight-story main building, wrapped in an outer envelope of freestanding transparent and opaque glass, was designed with traditional Chinese elements in mind. Narrow walkways lined with bamboo link diplomatic "neighborhoods."

Call me suspicious, but I think one of those traditional Chinese elements is spying on us. I bet that freestanding outer envelope is meant to shield the embassy from any form of surveillance that the Chinese might want to use on us.

What happens in our embassy, stays in our embassy.
