Back to Iraq

While we are winning in Iraq, our enemies in Iran have not admitted defeat:

Iraqi Shiite assassination teams are being trained in at least four locations in Iran by Tehran's elite Quds force and Lebanese Hezbollah and are planning to return to Iraq in the next few months to kill specific Iraqi officials as well as U.S. and Iraqi troops, according to intelligence gleaned from captured militia fighters and other sources in Iraq.

While this is disturbing, Iran has clearly lowered their sights from trying to engineer a revolt to turn Iraq into an Iranian puppet to simply killing individuals to sow confusion and keep a low-level campaign of violence going against American and Iraqi troops.

We can beat this attempt to salvage something from Iran's defeat in Iraq. But at some point it sure would be nice to take down the Iranian regime and end the source of Iraq's most pressing foreign problem.
