The US Supreme Court has agreed to reopen a legal battle over rulings that restrict the US Navy's (USN's) use of high-frequency sonar transmissions for training exercises. The Supreme Court decided on 23 June to review the decision of the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold a lower court's restriction on sonar use, intended to protect marine mammals[.]
