Representatives of Taiwan and China have agreed to set up permanent offices in each other's territory to handle contacts through their quasi-official negotiating bodies.
Call me cynical if you will, but don't be too surprised if this office looks a lot like a provincial governor's office.
You know, just in case the need arises.
