Mercenaries

I've noted that the anti-war side is trading on the reputations of trusted institutions in their effort to use that reputation for a partisan purpose of losing the Iraq War. For our Left, these institutions are cannon fodder to be sacrificed for their goals.

Well, it is worse than I thought. These institutions may not be being used so much as they are happily enlisting in the anti-war fight:

A STUDY that claimed 650,000 people were killed as a result of the invasion of Iraq was partly funded by the antiwar billionaire George Soros.

Soros, 77, provided almost half the £50,000 cost of the research, which appeared in The Lancet, the medical journal. Its claim was 10 times higher than consensus estimates of the number of war dead.

I'm not sure how many pieces of silver that translates into, but you get the idea.
