The first of four US Navy (USN) Ohio-class strategic ballistic missile submarines to be converted to cruise missile platforms is gearing up for its inaugural deployment in its new role. The crew of the former Trident D5 nuclear missile boat USS Ohio have embarked for final training off Hawaii in preparation for deployment in the western Pacific Ocean.
