Mission Accomplished

Amidst worry that the Iraqis won't be able to step up and take over the fight from us, remember the mass killings that did not take place against very vulnerable targets due to Iraqi security forces:

More practical minded Iraqis demonstrated competence and discipline this week when the army and police organized security for over three million religious pilgrims marching through Baghdad. No major incidents, and it was an entirely Iraqi operation. U.S. troops, who provided (unneeded) backup, were impressed.

The Iraqis are certainly capable of taking over. Just not everywhere and just not tomorrow.
