Tears for Fears

The Europeans are hopeless if this attitude (per Sowell) is widespread:

European nations protesting Saddam Hussein's death sentence, as they protested against forcing secrets out of captured terrorists, should tell us all we need to know about the internal degeneration of Western society, where so many confuse squeamishness with morality.

How can the Europeans protest the execution of Saddam Hussein? Can they not see the evil he represents? Is there no crime so great in their view that deserves the death penalty? I mean other than punishing any Israelis or Americans for simply fighting, of course.

Or are the Europeans so fearful of jihadi wrath being visited upon them that they want Islamo-fascists to see them openly shed tears for such a vile self-proclaimed champion of so-called downtrodden Moslems?

Hang the bastard. I'll shed no tears for that scumbag. And I don't give a rip that the Euro elites disapprove of hanging him.
