Under New Management

What with their former leader Zarqawi rotting in Hell, al Qaeda in Iraq has apparently gone in a new direction, possibly involving hand puppets and inane rhyming chants. It must be so because this is what AP is reporting:

Al-Qaida in Iraq said in a Web statement posted Monday that a militant named Abu Hamza al-Muhajer was the group's new leader.

Silly me, I assumed the terrorist group would name another terrorist to lead them in another round of head lopping and suicide bombs. But no, instead they've decided to go the "militant" route.

Hey, at least he wasn't described as a "community activist." My word, my standards for the media are low, aren't they?

Just how could we have won World War II with a "friendly" press that acted this way?
