Iran threatened Friday to end surprise inspections and other cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog if it is referred to the U.N. Security Counci over its nuclear program, and the president vowed his country won't be intimidated by sanctions.
Watch who is upset over the possibility that Iran might throw a fit over the largely toothless measure of referring the issue to the UN Security Council. Anybody in the West upset is clearly someone who values process over mere results. I say this because given Iran's long record of cheating to pursue nuclear weapons, in what meaningful way could they cease cooperation with the IAEA?
I prefer there existing lack of cooperation to be clear. That way the Euros (and those who think like Euros) can't pretend like words are the same as actions and that properly signed and stamped papers are the same as defending our security.
This is a pre-conflict period, people. This won't be resolved by sitting around a table.
So what will it be? Revolution, coup, or aerial campaign?
